The Mangochi Community Initiative
for Self Reliance
Following a holiday in Malawi and a visit to the Mangochi Village, we realised how hard this small village community are trying to help themselves through education – not just basic education, but also with Health and Social issues. The project sponsors this education to the community, and also sponsors the schooling of the children, by buying books, uniforms etc. Education is not free. A secondary school is being built, and is at present just a shell, needing more funds to finish building it. Consequently friends Paul, Jane and myself decided we would like to raise some funds to help them finish the school, furnish and equip it, so that they, and the future generations of the village, can become healthier, better educated and more self sufficient. Please support us if you feel able in any way to help this Community Project give these people a better, healthier life. – Jenny Geeson
